People against gay marriage: since marriage is sacred and should be protected?

Why don't you guys try to ban divorce? I mean it's less likely that the gay couple down the street is gonna 'nullify' your marriage than it is for your to get a divorce. But if marriage is sacred divorce should be banned, right?
