Dating is irrational, so why do teenagers do it?

Everyone is different. It is not wrong to be dedicated to school. You sound to me like someone that is very intelligent and focused on your goals. You may not be interested in dating, girls, etc but that is not a bad thing. It is just you! You only know what is goof for you. It is true that most young people enjoy the dance of dating and yes that can come with some drama. But it is not pointless because it is what makes the world go around and has been since history began. But not everyone in history had that passion. Just appease your family by agreeing with them that you will look into dating and they will probably be relived that you are even thinking about it. In the meantime go ahead and get into your studies and enjoy that. if you change your mind in a few years then date if not become a doctor or something and enjoy that? why not?
