Weimaraners that carry a long hair gene, even though they themselves are shorthair, will tend to have a slightly thicker, softer coat and a non l/h carrier. This type of coat can tend to have a slight wave or 'crinkle' along the middle of the back particularly toasted the tail. Also if they have been laying down in one position for a while or wave a damp coat they will have a wave or crease in the hair when they get up but it will dissappear after a while.
