How to make ironed hair look sleek like it was blown.?

so i have curly hair and when i iron it it comes out straight but still pretty thick and not sleek. it's too hard for me to blow dry my hair but i just went to the salon and got my hair blown and i really love and it looks and want to know for next time i iron my hair if i can make it look that good. also if there are any products needed, plz tell me the name and where i can get it. also, any tips or tricks for ironing hair.
