Can your hair charateristics change as you go through puberty?

I'm 15 years old, male. My hair characteristics have changed a little. My hair use to be dark brown, straight, and sleek... Now it still straight, but its light brown, sometimes a little frizzy, and very wispy. could this be because of puberty?
